Health Care Law

Our Health Care Team consists of attorneys skilled in licensing, regulatory issues, compliance, and hospital privileges, whether at the preventative and planning stages or when matters turn to dispute resolution including negotiations, arbitrations and litigation.

Employment Agreements

We provide advice and assistance necessary to address employment issues and disputes from both the employer and employee perspectives.

HIPAA

Since its implementation in 2003, our attorneys are well versed in the intricacies of regulations involving HIPAA and the HIPAA Final Omnibus Rule. We can help employers, including medical practitioners or practice groups, understand how HIPAA impacts covered entities, business associates, and business associate subcontractors. We will craft compliance tools, policies, procedures, and processes to help you stay compliant.

Licensure

We regularly appear before state licensing boards and the administrative hearing commission and handle disputes regarding hospital privileges with area hospitals. We also advise our clients regarding compliance issues with the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

STARK and Anti-Kickback Regulations

We provide advice and assistance necessary to address provider relationships that require careful planning at all stages of transactions and associations among provider groups, hospitals and related entities including: Stark I, II, and III, Anti-Kickback, False Claims and related laws.
