Financial Power of Attorney
A Financial Durable Power of Attorney appoints an Attorney-in-Fact (an agent) to make financial decisions on your behalf. A Financial Durable Power of Attorney will be able to handle a broad range of responsibilities from paying your everyday expenses to buying and selling property, investments, filing and paying your taxes, and operating your business. A Financial Durable Power of Attorney can be either effective immediately, or upon a doctor’s declaration of incapacity.
A Healthcare Durable Power of Attorney appoints an Attorney-in-Fact (an agent) to make healthcare decisions for you during your life. These are only effective upon a declaration of incapacity by a doctor.
